Incognito
Sat 12, Fri 25 & Sat 26 Jan
  Brian McKnight
"Solo piano and voice"

Sun 20, Mon 21, Tue 21 & Wed 23 Jan
Celebrating the brilliance of their 15th Studio Album "Surreal", Incognito return to Jazz Cafe after a long hiatus. Bluey leader of Incognito says of their latest release "We have our own sound, and we have a fan base worldwide, this was not the time to sit on our laurels or cut corners. For each one of us taking part in the making of "Surreal" this was our chance to make bold statements, hone in our skills, dig deep into our creative souls and produce a body of work that we would all be extremely proud of. Job done!"   Join us at the Jazz Cafe as we welcome the return of Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist Brian McKnight. An artist who needs no introduction, Brian has released 13 albums to date, with several going two and three times platinum, and he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. In an industry known for a constantly revolving door of artists, McKnight has easily established himself with an enviable record of chart consistency.

Thu 7 Feb
Together with the two MCs Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, DJ and producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad is one third of A Tribe Called Quest, one of the best and most influential hip hop groups of all time. He's responsible for more classics than most rap stars have released tracks. As a producer, he's the foundation of A Tribe Called Quest's success subsequently influencing a generation of rappers and producers to come: without Ali producers such as Jay Dee, Madlib and Pharell/Neptunes would have never existed. Don't miss the legendary pioneer live at the Jazz Cafe.   Delicious Vinyl celebrates the 20th anniversary of The Pharcyde's classic 1992 debut LP with a performance of the classic album in its entirety! Fri 18 Jan
The Jezebel Sextet feat. Sulene Fleming & Matt Henry
Sat 19 Jan
After supporting Pete Rock & CL Smooth on their recent Jazz Cafe residency, it's now time for MC/Producer Micall Parknsun to take centre stage for the launch of his highly anticipated, entirely self-produced "Me Myself & Akai" album. Expect a whole new take on 'live' Hip Hop with an array of special guests all adding their own individual flavours to the mix for this truly one-off event.   The Jezebel Sextet will be ripping it up at the Jazz Cafe this January with two guest vocalists Sulene Fleming and Matt Henry. Backed by a classic line up of Hammond and horns, their funky tribute to Otis Redding has repeatedly brought the house down since 2008 and this new show is jammed full of 60s soul and hard funk that is guaranteed to get you on the good foot.
